Your music has a unique and refreshing vibe to it. How would you describe your sound in a couple words?
“Universal Pop Feel”
I can really hear the sounds of SoCal come through in tracks like “Tell Myself”. How do you think being from SoCal has affected your music?
“Growing up here on the west coast in general is such an inspiration. All the artists before me inspired me. Visually from Palm trees to the beach to boulevards and lowriders I love it.”
Did you always want to be a music artist, or was there a moment in which you realized this is what you wanted to do?
“Since I was a kid I wanted to be an artist. I just genuinely loved music.”
Who or what inspires you most as an artist? What do you look to when you work on new music?
“I am extremely blessed to work with amazing Producers/Songwriters. Isaac James, 900Vibes, Restless Beats, Tarin Bai, Gitto Baby and Mike Pro. They push me to make great music because when they send me an amazing beat I have to pull my weight by writing an amazing song.”
What does your process look like when it comes to your songwriting?
“I try my best to write everyday even if it’s a verse, concept etc. So when a beat gets sent to me something might fit the feeling but for the most part each song gets a different approach. My job is to always make sure people picture the movie when they listen to a song because I write each song like it’s a movie.”
Your music is quite diverse soundwise. What are your thoughts on working with different sounds on different tracks?
“I love it! I usually record 5 songs per studio session. Each song is usually a different genre. We go from dancehall, country to reggaeton. It makes it exciting for both me and the producers because we aren’t put in a box.”
At this moment in time, which songs of yours do you feel people need to hear in order to understand you and your vision better?
“I think “Tell Myself” is that song right now. Especially since I’m releasing all west coast music this next year it will give them the foundation for sure.”
How would you describe the new projects coming out in the near future? Is it different or similar to what fans currently know of your music?
“It’s definitely a west coast vibe plus it’s very Pop, so it’s something new and special.”
Would you say the new music and content is an evolution of you as an artist?
“I feel like it’s a different chapter. Now, it’s very cohesive from visuals to the music. This phase of Freddy Bam Bam is gonna be a great one.”
As a rising artist, what do you hope to achieve?
“I just want to make amazing music that people can enjoy.”
