Taylor Swift Announces Red (Taylor’s Version)

Despite Taylor Swift dropping constant hints that 1989 would be the next of her albums to get the “2021 treatment,” Swift shocked fans last week when she announced that her fourth studio album Red would be the next of the re-recordings.

In her Instagram post announcing the album, Swift writes “Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators.”

Fans have been theorizing about what Swift would include on the album, including a ten-minute version of her hit song “All Too Well,” which Swift hints upon at the end of her statement.

Additional rumors are collaborations with Selena Gomez and Katy Perry, even a potential surprise drop of 1989, but knowing Taylor Swift, we will never truly know what to expect until she announces it herself.
