[vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Aly and AJ have dropped another single, “Symptom of Your Touch,” leading up to the release of their next album. “a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun,” their fourth studio album, will be released on May 7, 2021. It’s been 14 years since the release of their previous album.

The song is classic Aly and AJ, with tight harmonies and synth melodies. The lyrics describe a relationship that is hard to leave: “It’s a symptom of your touch // If it feels so good // why does it hurt so much?”

“Symptom of Your Touch” follows singles “Slow Dancing,” “Pretty Places,” and “Listen!!!” The duo also gained attention from re-releasing their 2007 hit “Potential Breakup Song” with some new explicit lyrics.

In a statement about the upcoming album, the sisters said, “There’s nothing more satisfying than sitting in a room asking the universe to humbly bring you the bones of a song….We started conversations around making a full album together way back in early 2019….we needed to show people that we were two American girls who grew up in the Valley in LA that intend on putting out positive, inspirational, but also revealing and honest writing into the world.”

Aly and AJ have been slowly but surely gaining fans and critical acclaim over the last few years. With the release of this new album, they are poised to make a major mainstream comeback. I can’t wait!
