Ajna – Just A Man

Over balmy keys and crisp, rigid drums, Ajna expresses the pain of losing a loved one and the uncertainty of being a musician. “Yeah, I might have lost my girl/but I got my bros.” Stoic in delivery, but his shield has reached its limits as the song continues. Choosing to embrace those who lift him up is a tall task when life tries its best to humble you. With every utterance of “I’m just a man,” you feel a man searching for an outlet to safely unload his pain, where pleading for consideration isn’t confused with seeking pity. No one will ever understand what he truly feels; all he has to defend himself is his ego.
