Reasons could be plentiful, but in the end, a sense of rejection comes in waves. For Just A Leo, a rebrand was not just a new beginning but a properly communicated belief of who they are: the set-up for a great comeback story.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Their love for astrology is evident. If Zenith Moon stood for “the polar opposite of the noonday sun,” Just A Leo is an ironic reminder that there’s more underneath the veil. The Australia-based band pulls from multiple genres, like modern electronica, 90’s/00’s dance music, 80’s pop-rock, and alt-pop, in turn creating their own distinct lush, roomy sound. Zenith Moon felt shackled by being labeled solely as a classic rock band. Conversely, Just A Leo is free to cross between musical worlds as they please.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I had the opportunity to chat with Kalliope (lead vocalist), Andie (drummer), Matt (guitarist), and Jarrah (keys/sound engineer). These four members make up the fast rising band, Just A Leo. Each member comes with their own musical background, achievements, failures, and lessons. We discussed the band’s origins, signing with Golden Robots Records, announcing the title for their upcoming EP and much more[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27270″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]My biggest takeaway after speaking with the band was simple, really. Communication. They made it clear that musically, they’re still evolving. Improving their communication with fans. Expressing their artistic vision amongst themselves. Once they unlocked that asset, the stars they once gazed upon became a destination within their grasp. Nothing is lost in translation anymore.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Just A Leo light is brighter than before. They boast more monthly Spotify listeners now than when they went by Zenith Moon  and more views on their most recent video than the two under Golden Records combine as well. The effectiveness of their outreach efforts is undeniable. Honing their craft, they collectively bought into a vision that they are more than what they’ve shown. As a result, they came out on the other side brighter than ever before.
