Tyler, The Creator Announces Camp Flog Gnaw Return
Tyler, the Creator’s amazingly curated music festival Camp Flog Gnaw is officially making its return this year after three-year hiatus.
The rapper announced the festival’s return through the music video for the new track “The Hillbillies” by Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem. Towards the end of the video, Tyler is seen at the Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles with Lamar and Keem in the background. He shows a button pinned to his jacket “Camp Flog Gnaw 2023” while pointing at the entrance of the stadium, confirming where the festival will take place as it has in previous years.
The 2-day festival will take place on November 11-12 at Dodgers Stadium. The lineup has yet to be announced but is implied that Lamar and/or Keem may be featured on the lineup. Tyler may also be a headliner for the festival as he has since the festival started in 2012. Passes for the much-anticipated festival held an advanced sale on June 2 and sold out within the first hour. “wow. all gone. thank you for trusting us years later. see you in November,” he wrote on Twitter.

2019’s lineup included Daniel Caesar, Clairo, Summer Walker, Juice WRLD, Omar Apollo, Solange, Blood Orange and a surprise headlining performance from Drake. Many festival attendees were disappointed with Drake being the surprise headliner and started booing him. It was heavily rumored that Frank Ocean was the surprise headliner.
Previous years saw performances by Ms. Lauryn Hill, Kids See Ghosts (aka Kanye West and Kid Cudi), Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, SZA, Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg.
If it continues to follow the same rollout of the last few years, the full lineup should be released in August. As good as the lineups have been in previous years and with many artists releasing new music this year, it is pretty safe to say that this year’s edition will be no different.
