The track is an acoustic, country-ish tune, with Cyrus and Harding trading verses about feeling jealous of an ex\u2019s new relationship: \u201cAnd I didn\u2019t want to but I couldn\u2019t help it \/\/ And I know it\u2019s wrong to call this sweet hell upon myself \/\/ You belong to somebody else.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first creative collaboration between the two. Cyrus and Harding first met at a songwriting camp in 2018. Harding actually played guitar on Cyrus\u2019 track \u201cGood Cry<\/a>.\u201d Flash forward a year later, and Cyrus releases her <\/span>The End of Everything <\/span><\/i><\/a>EP with four tracks co-written with Harding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The pair have been collaborating remotely this year and are set to drop an EP, <\/span>People Don\u2019t Change<\/span><\/i>, on April 23.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis wouldn\u2019t have happened without PJ,\u201d said Cyrus<\/a><\/span>. \u201cHe put the music together, so I could do this. He\u2019s the most talented dude I\u2019ve ever partnered with. I genuinely admire him as a writer, singer, musician, and artist. Writing songs before, I honestly felt a little lost. It felt special to go back to my roots and make something with guitar and piano-like what my dad made me listen to as a kid. I felt like I was able to put my true self into this. I could be who I am at the core\u2014which is just<\/span> Noah<\/span> from Nashville.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Harding is equally impressed by his musical partner, saying<\/a> \u201cAt heart, this is really a raw, homemade record. There\u2019s a strong folk tradition in Australia, which you can possibly feel. There\u2019s certainly a lot of Nashville in there too. I feel like Noah is really the guiding force here. She\u2019s the soul of this record.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
