\u201cDoes it feel good to be so tall?<\/strong><\/em>\u201d she sneers over the sparse beat. \u201cI know you like the view.\u201d <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The chorus\u2019 production is spooky (appropriate, considering it\u2019s almost Halloween), with EMELINE sing-songing, \u201cHow do you want me? \/\/ Want me crawling at your feet? \/\/ Pour on your dirt \/\/ I\u2019m five foot tall, six foot deep\u201d over a guitar riff and snaps.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The lyrics are personal, but delivered with an off-hand quality; you get the feeling EMELINE is rolling her eyes as she sings, \u201cI don\u2019t like your energy \/\/ chew me up \u2018til you can\u2019t breathe.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were so many people who just wanted to take advantage of me, make me feel invisible, and make me think that they were the only ones who could give me value. Writing about that kind of stuff is really difficult, but over time I realized that those experiences were valuable because they aren\u2019t unique to me. By telling my story, I could take back my own power and give power to others who\u2019ve gone through something similar. It\u2019s exciting to think that I could shine a little light out into the world, so that someone who\u2019s been through what I\u2019ve been through can maybe feel a little less alone.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
