We\u2019ve heard of <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/1bDWGdIC2hardyt55nlQgG?si=uU9CEFqISTWHnUO77hIgnA\">Weird Al<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/2Waw2sSbqvAwK8NwACNjVo?si=Mu6SHF1FRh6zrHgOlmiFHA\">Bo Burnham<\/a>, we\u2019ve seen <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/5gNuj8UkyC4\">Steve Martin<\/a> pluck away on the banjo and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Tp2qkhHU0Mw\">Adam Sandler<\/a> shred guitar solos; the concept of comedians making funny music is not new to us. What happens when the line between comedy and reality starts to blur?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/072QZuLtCqlAesYnOGY7lN?si=wLheh0eJQdKNhWF4eOneKQ\">Tiny Meat Gang<\/a>, a group made up of YouTubers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/codyko69\">Cody Ko<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCukxwCc4hhZrMtlLVEY_Dxw\">Noel Miller<\/a>, just dropped their first single since January, \u201cSofia.\u201d The two have garnered thousands of streams on songs like \u201cWalk Man\u201d and \u201cshort kings anthem,\u201d and released their second EP, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Locals Only<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, in 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ko and Miller started making short songs and videos on YouTube, mostly to mock fellow \u201cinfluencers\u201d who were starting to make basic, trap beats and rapping nonsense lyrics over them (<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/41hhOkoRcm7m4fE0g7t1sa?si=5zH5qiv8RbmOUV05gLn4tA\">Jake Paul<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCbEn1kwHr0TPmC9VPWIA_Mw\">Team 10<\/a>, we\u2019re looking at you). With song titles like \u201cBYOB (Be Your Own Boss)\u201d and \u201cPlease Be A Hit,\u201d Tiny Meat Gang is obviously not taking themselves seriously. I mean, hello, their group\u2019s name is Tiny Meat Gang.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, \u201cSofia\u201d is making many fans wonder what\u2019s stopping TMG\u2019s music from being considered \u201creal\u201d music. \u201cSofia\u201d is another trap song, with Spanish guitar licks and an earwormy synth hook. The lyrics describe Ko and Miller\u2019s infatuation with the humanoid robot Sophia, who you can see in action on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Bg_tJvCA8zw\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s obviously a joke, but the production is good and the song is undeniably catchy.
