Adele Soaks Up Wine at Her “Last” Mesmerizing Show Of Vegas Residency

The heartbreak queen that is Adele delivered a stunning 2-hour show for the last show of her residency. The show started promptly at 8:15pm, her pianist starts the show with the opening of her song “To Be Loved” from her latest album 30.  It shortly follows with her gracing the stage with “Hello,” which she said in her Oprah interview that she will most likely always start her shows because it would be weird not to.

The remainder of the setlist drew heavily from her last three albums 19, 21 and 25, including “Hometown “Take It All” “One and Only” and “Water Under the Bridge.” A song that I had completely forgotten about was her Oscar-winning James Bond song “Skyfall,” where not only where her vocals stunning while performing it but the visuals behind were a feast for the eyes.

At one point during the show, she reflects on the sold-out 34 night residency and how much she has enjoyed the residency as she soaks up a glass of white wine with ice.

 She reflects on the first time when she walked in to the Colosseum at the Caesars Palace, which was during the COVID 19 pandemic, saying she was into tears because she missed performing on stage. It was also a monumental moment for her as one of her favorite singers, Celine Dion, performed on the same stage, where Adele saw her for the first time live.

She then goes on to talk about how devastated she was about canceling the first set of shows and to make up for it, she announced an additional set of dates that will take place for two weeks in June, where she will film the show for a concert special and from August to November. “This room is a fucking vibe, she told the crowd. “I feel so safe here.”

Towards the end of the show, she walks through the audience as she is singing “When We Were Young” and asking some fans their favorite memories when they were younger as confetti comes down that are polaroid’s of Adele when she was younger. The show ends with “Love Is A Game,” the closing track from 30.

I first saw Adele at her 25 tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA in 2016 where she sang to over 12,000 people. Now seeing her in a room filled with 4,300 other daydreamers, this residency sees the singer be more vulnerable and comfortable on stage.

What once was a catastrophe where Adele canceled her previously scheduled Las Vegas shows the night before, the last night of her “Weekends With Adele” residency seemed to come full circle. As Adele stayed true to her gut to hold off on the show until she felt it was right, it was well worth the wait. It is a spectacle both visually and musically.
