Silhouettes of Scarlett – A New Hip-Hop Musical – April 18

Silhouettes of Scarlet is an award-winning theater-concert experience that fuses live orchestra and band, hip-hop lyricism, spoken word, and theatrical storytelling into a powerful meditation on grief, memory, love, and survival. Centered on James, a Black man navigating the sudden loss of his father while unraveling the aftermath of a destructive abusive relationship. The work moves between confession and chorus, tracing how grief lives in the body and how music and community open pathways to healing. Developed through sold-out performances across Los Angeles, this multilingual, modular production with songs written in English, Spanish and Tagalog transforms each space it enters into a sanctuary for collective reflection and shared care.
